Yoga Stretches
Feeling tight and pent up? You might want to look into numerous yoga stretches in order to ease that tired body. These poses are simple, useful, and a great way to unwind at the end of the day.
If you are like most people, your life is full of stress. Stress from your job, your family, your life, and the physical stress that is placed upon your body day after day. All of these things affect your general posture, which can eventually lead to tired, aching, muscles and bones. If you could relieve all of this stress with a few yoga stretches, would you? If so, the following routine will help you deal with all that stress more than you may think.
Begin by standing tall with your spine straight. Keep your feet together firmly on the ground. Simply stand with your hands at your sides for ten minutes. During this time, breathe in and out carefully and steadily. Once this is completed, move your neck from side to side slowly. Then, move your shoulders up and down in one fluid motion. Repeat these exercises three times before moving on to the next stretch. When you are ready, lay down on the floor on your back. Lie quietly on the floor with your arms at your side for ten minutes, breathe deeply, and try to concentrate on your body.
Next, turn over and kneel. Then, stretch out your arms and move forward into a cat stretch. Try to imagine that your belly button is being pulled through your spine as you stretch towards the ceiling. As you go through these yoga stretches, try to remember to breathe. Breathing is a large part of any pose, and it will become very important when you are trying to rid your body of stress. In fact, the breathing that you learn while doing yoga can be used whenever you are confronted with difficult situations.
The more you learn to breathe deeply from your diaphragm, the more you will be able to steady your nerves whenever you have to. Believe it or not, the simple act of breathing can calm a person down within moments. As you can see, not only are these poses great to relive muscle tensions, but they are also valuable when it comes to living your life.
Try and go through the aforementioned yoga stretches at least once per day. Usually, it is best to do these poses during the morning hour, but nothing is as calming as a day that ends with a nice long stretch.
